1. Project Background: Upgrading Sugar Powder Processing in the UAE

Our customer in the UAE is a sugar powder repacking company supplying bakeries, beverage plants, and confectionery factories. They purchase imported white sugar and mill it on site into fine sugar powder for different downstream users.

As orders increased, their existing small mill could no longer keep up in terms of capacity, dust control, and cleaning hygiene. The machine became a bottleneck for delivery and created housekeeping and safety concerns. They decided to introduce a compact, high-capacity, easy-to-clean sugar pulverizer dedicated to food-grade sugar powder production.

2. Customer Pain Points: Capacity vs Hygiene

During the initial communication, the customer clearly listed several pain points:

• Insufficient capacity
  The old machine could not stably reach 200 kg/h. During peak season, even with multiple shifts, production was still behind schedule.

• Heavy dust and poor working environment
  Sugar dust leaked heavily from the old system, affecting operators, increasing cleaning time, and posing a risk for hygiene audits.

• Difficult cleaning and product changeover
  There were many dead corners inside the machine. Disassembly was complicated, so every product changeover and full cleaning stopped production for a long time.

• Limited floor space
  The new machine had to fit into the existing layout. The customer could not afford a large, complex system that required rearranging the whole workshop.

Their core goal was to boost capacity and improve dust and hygiene conditions without major building modifications.

3. Solution: 350kg/h All-Stainless Steel Sugar Pulverizer

Based on the site layout and process requirements, we recommended and supplied a 350kg/h Sugar Pulverizerspecifically configured for the UAE market. Key features are:

  The machine is designed to reliably reach 350 kg/h sugar powder output, almost doubling the previous capacity and leaving room for future growth.

• Product fineness adjustable via screen
  Powder fineness is controlled simply by changing the screen size. This allows the customer to produce different grades of sugar powder for baking premixes, beverage blends, and coating sugar without modifying the main machine structure.

• All stainless steel construction
  The entire machine, especially all sugar-contact parts, is made from stainless steel. Smooth internal surfaces meet food industry requirements, resist corrosion, and are suitable for frequent washing.

• Low dust design
  A carefully designed grinding chamber and sealing structure significantly reduce sugar dust leakage. When connected to the customer’s local dust collection system, the operator area dust level is noticeably lower.

• Compact footprint
  The machine layout (inlet, outlet, and overall height) is customized to match the existing workshop. The compact footprint allows direct replacement of the old mill without structural changes to the building.

• Easy disassembly and cleaning
  The grinding chamber, screen, and product-contact surfaces are easy to remove and reassemble. This is ideal for multi-shift operation with frequent cleaning and batch changeovers, which is common in the UAE food industry.

• 1-year warranty
  The machine is supplied with a 1-year warranty and spare parts support. Remote technical assistance helps the customer carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

4. Results: Higher Output, Less Dust, Easier Cleaning

After commissioning and several months of operation, the customer reported three major improvements:

1. Stable capacity at around 350 kg/h
   Peak-season orders can now be fulfilled within the planned production schedule. There is no need to temporarily rent extra small mills to “rescue” capacity.

2. Significantly reduced dust in the workspace
   With the low-dust design and their existing dust collection, the working environment improved noticeably. Operators feel more comfortable, and daily cleaning time has been shortened. This also makes it easier to pass local food safety and hygiene inspections.

3. Shorter cleaning and changeover time
   Thanks to stainless steel construction and easy disassembly, full cleaning and batch changeovers are faster and simpler. This reduces downtime and increases effective machine utilization.

The customer has now positioned this sugar pulverizer as the core machine of their sugar powder line and is considering using the same configuration for future new lines.
